Agilent Cary 5000

Agilent Cary 5000 is a high performance spectrophotometer with excellent photometric performance in the 175-3300 nm range.

Agilent Cary 5000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer

Agilent Cary 5000 is a high performance spectrophotometer with excellent photometric performance in the 175-3300 nm range. The user can extend the wavelength range to 3300 nm by using a PbSmart detector, making the Agilent Cary 5000 a powerful spectrophotometer for research in materials science. The Cary WinUV software makes it easy to perform powerful analysis and control optional accessories. The user can also expand the large sample compartment to hold large accessories and integration spheres for spectral and diffuse reflectance. The LockDown mechanism of the Agilent Cary 5000 makes it possible to change and position accessories easily.

Agilent Cary 5000 compared to other instruments

Even though the Agilent Cary 5000 UV-Vis maintains some features of older Agilent instruments, it is still a major upgrade from previous models. The Agilent Cary 5000 (175-3300 nm) features a wider wavelength range than the Agilent Cary 4000 (175-900 nm).

The Agilent Cary 5000 UV-Vis is not only a huge upgrade from previous Agilent instruments, as it also beats its competitors on several parameters. The Agilent Cary 5000 also features a wider wavelength range than both Analytik Jena Spekol 2000 UV-Vis (190-1100 nm) and Jenway 6850 (190-1100 nm).

Features of the Agilent Cary 5000 compared to other instruments include:

Agilent Cary 5000 versus Analytik Jena Spekol 2000 UV-Vis

  • The Agilent Cary 5000 is more accurate than Analytik Jena Spekol 2000 UV-Vis.

Agilent Cary 5000 versus Jenway 6850 UV-Vis

  • The Agilent Cary 5000 is more accurate than Jenway 6850 UV-Vis.

Agilent Cary 5000 with NanoCuvette™ One, SpectroLink™, and SpectroWorks™

The NanoCuvette™ One is a cuvette that can be used for measuring both refractive index and absorbance using a spectrophotometer.

The Agilent Cary 5000 features a 20 mm beam height and a minimum spectral bandwidth of 0.01 nm, making the instrument compatible with our NanoCuvette™ One.

Compatibility of Agilent Cary 5000 with cphnano products:

With our NanoCuvette™ One your Agilent Cary 5000 will be able to measure 2 mL / 0.5 µL samples via refractive index for QC and kinetics. You can find a recording here showing how to perform a measurement with NanoCuvette™ One

In addition to NanoCuvette™ One, you can use SpectroLink™ for simplifying your spectrophotometer workflow to a three step process allowing you to quickly acquire, analyze and extract results. In this way, you don't have to waste more time on trouble with file formats, data transfer or sharing results.
