High sensitivity

  • The Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 is designed for the highest sensitivity. In order to ensure high sensitivity, the instrument has three detectors: a photomultiplier tube (PMT) detector for the ultraviolet and visible region, and InGaAs and PbS detectors for the near-infrared region.

Extra large sample compartment and optional accessories

  • The large sample compartment of the SolidSpec-3700 (900W x 700D x 350H, mm) allows large samples to be measured. In addition, a wide range of optional accessories has been developed for the Solidspec-3700, including absolute specular reflectance attachments.

UVProbe software

  • The Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 comes with the UVProbe software that includes various functions, including spectrum, photometric, kinetics, and report generator.

Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 with high sensitivity

The Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 is designed for the highest sensitivity. In order to ensure high sensitivity, the instrument has three detectors: a photomultiplier tube (PMT) detector for the ultraviolet and visible region, and InGaAs and PbS detectors for the near-infrared region. Conventional instruments have used photomultiplier tube detector for the ultraviolet and visible region and a PbS detector for the near-infrared region. However, these detectors are not sensitive near the detector switchover. The SolidSpec allows high sensitivity measurements even in the switchover range, by using an InGaAs detector.

Shimadzu SolidSpec 3700 with UVProbe software

The Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 comes with the UVProbe software that includes various functions, including spectrum, photometric, kinetics, and report generator. The different functions can be easily operated with the dedicated screen of the instrument. In addition, several data processing functions, such as peak/valley detection, and area calculation are included as well. The UVProbe software includes security functions where operations are limited for the individual user, which ensures data reliability.

Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 compared to other instruments

Even though the Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 maintains some features of older Shimadzu instruments, it is still a major upgrade from previous models. In comparison with conventional models, the Shimadzu SolidSpec features a wider wavelength range than the Shimadzu UV-2700.

The Shimadzu SolidSpec-3700 is not only a huge upgrade from previous Shimadzu models, as it also beats its competitors on several parameters. Shimadzu SolidSpec 3700 is more accurate than both Analytik Jena Spekol UV-Vis and Jenway 7205.
