Shimadzu UV-1900 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
The UV-1900 highlights Shimadzu’s position as one of the world leaders in analytical instrumentation. The technically advanced features of UV-1900 improve performance, usability and regulatory compliance, making UV-1900 ideal for analysis within several fields, including foods, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, and electronics applications.
Watch the video below for a presentation of the UV-1900.
Features of the UV-1900 include:
- Ultrafast Scan
The UV-1900 is equipped with an ultrafast scan function that enables data acquisition as fast as 29.000 nm/min. - High Resolution and Sensitivity
The UV-1900 patented Low-Ray-Ligh® diffraction grating technology ensures low stray light with high resolution. The UV-1900 achieves a resolution of 1 nm. - User friendly software
The UV-1900 spectrophotometer can connect with Shimadzu’s analysis data management systems (LabSolutions).
Shimadzu UV-1900 with Ultrafast Scan Function
Shimadzu UV-1900 is equipped with an ultrafast scan function that enables data acquisition as fast as 29.000 nm/min. This is at the same time the fastest scan level in the industry. Ultrafast scan is ideal for tracking chemical reactions in a short time, and this feature therefore allows the user to perform rapid repeat measurements for analyzing the process of sample changes in chemical reactions. Therefore, more detailed behaviour can be investigated with the UV-1900.
Shimadzu UV-1900 with high resolution and sensitivity
The UV-1900 is more than capable of meeting the wavelength resolution required in the European Pharmacopoeia, due to the fact that the instrument achieves a resolution of 1 nm and features a compact, bright optical system.
Shimadzu UV-1900 with user-friendly software and new design
The UV-1900 spectrophotometer can connect with Shimadzu’s analysis data management systems (LabSolutions). The LabSolutions UV-Vis software is made for frequent users of UV-Vis spectrophotometers in various applications. The software is equipped with functions to make data pass/fail judgements in accordance with configured conditions. Furthermore, the connection of the optional LabSolutions UV-Vis and the standard control software to a Shimadzu analysis data system (LabSolutions DB/CS) enables performance of integrated data management with all Shimadzu instruments in an environment compatible with regulations. The LabSolutions software is built with a simple design layout that allows beginners to perform operations easily.
The UV-1900 features a large, user friendly color touch panel, with easy to understand icons. The touch panel presents the six different measurement modes: spectrum acquisition, photometric values measurements, quantification measurements, kinetics studies, time course methods and bio methods. The touch panel is deployed at the ideal viewing angle based on ergonomics. The touch panel can be managed by using the stylus pen provided.
Shimadzu UV-1900 compared to other instruments
The UV-1900 is not only a huge upgrade from previous Shimadzu instruments, as it also beats its competitors on several parameters. The Shimadzu UV-1900 is faster than both Jenway 6715 UV-Vis and Agilent Cary 4000 UV-Vis. Shimadzu UV-1900 is also more accurate than these instruments, due to the Low-Ray-Ligh® diffraction grating technology that ensures low stray light with high resolution.
Features of the UV-1900 compared to other instruments include:
Shimadzu UV-1900 versus Jenway 6715 UV-Vis
- The Shimadzu UV-1900 is faster than Jenway 6715 UV-Vis and more accurate.
Shimadzu UV-1900 versus Agilent Cary 4000 UV-Vis
- The Shimadzu UV-1900 is faster than Agilent Cary 4000 UV-Vis and more accurate.
Shimadzu UV-1900 with NanoCuvette™ One, SpectroLink™, and SpectroWorks™
The NanoCuvette™ One is a cuvette that can be used for measuring both refractive index and absorbance using a spectrophotometer.
