Shimadzu UV-2700 with amazing photometric performance

Shimadzu UV-2700 is equipped with a double monochromator that achieves ultra-low stray light levels. The instrument is therefore suitable for measuring low transmittance samples, including polarization films used for LCD panels. The Shimadzu UV-2700 is able to perform 8-Abs measurements, and can make accurate transmittance measurements to 1 part in 100 million, accomodating a variety of sample measurements.

Shimadzu UV-2700 with a compact design and less power consumption

The power consumption of the Shimadzu UV-2700 is only 170 VA. The power consumption of conventional models is 190 VA, making the UV-2700 more environmentally friendly.

The UV-2700 has not only been optimized in terms of energy saving. The installation space has been reduced by 28% compared to conventional models, while the sample compartment remains the same. The cooling fan of the UV-2700 is built into the side of the instrument, enabling the users to push the instrument back all the way to the wall. In this way, limited bench space can be used effectively, making the instrument suitable for use in even small laboratories, with limited bench space.

Shimadzu UV-2700 compared to other instruments

Even though the UV-2700 maintains some features of older Shimadzu instruments, it is still a major upgrade from previous models. In comparison with conventional models, the power consumption is 10% less for the UV-2700.

The UV-2700 is not only a huge upgrade from previous Shimadzu models, as it also beats its competitors on several parameters. Shimadzu UV-2700 has a higher photometric range than both Analytik Jena Specord Plus 250 UV-Vis and PerkinElmer Lambda 365 UV/Vis.

Shimadzu UV-2700 with NanoCuvette™ One, SpectroLink™,  and SpectroWorks™

The NanoCuvette™ One is a cuvette that can be used for measuring both refractive index and absorbance using a spectrophotometer.

The Shimadzu UV-2700 features a 15 mm beam height and a minimum spectral bandwidth of 0.1 nm, making the instrument compatible with our NanoCuvette™ One.

The compatibility of VWR UV-2700 with our products

With our NanoCuvette™ One your Shimadzu UV-2700 will be able to measure 2 mL / 0.5 µL samples via refractive index for QC and kinetics. You can find a recording here showing how to perform a measurement with NanoCuvette™ One

In addition to NanoCuvette™ One, you can use SpectroLink™ for simplifying your spectrophotometer workflow to a three step process allowing you to quickly acquire, analyze and extract results. In this way, you don't have to waste more time on trouble with file formats, data transfer or sharing results.
