Shimadzu UV-2700 is ideal for measuring samples which cannot be thinly sliced, diluted or subjected to other pretreatment procedures.
Shimadzu UV-2700 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
With a low stray light diffraction grating, the Shimadzu UV-2700 offers a wide photometric range. The UV-2700 enables users to measure high-absorption samples easily. Shimadzu UV-2700 is ideal for measuring samples which cannot be thinly sliced, diluted or subjected to other pretreatment procedures.
Minimum 8-Abs photometric range
- The Shimadzu UV-2700 is able to perform 8-Abs measurements, and can make accurate transmittance measurements to 1 part in 100 million, accomodating a variety of sample measurements.
Compact design and less power consumption
- The power consumption of the Shimadzu UV-2700 is only 170 VA. Furthermore, the UV-2600 takes up 28% less space than conventional models.
LabSolutions UV-Vis Software
- The Shimadzu UV-2700 can be controlled by using the LabSolutions UV-Vis software. This software aims for high efficiency of analysis, and the simple design allows even first-time users to perform operations easily.

Shimadzu UV-2700 with amazing photometric performance
Shimadzu UV-2700 is equipped with a double monochromator that achieves ultra-low stray light levels. The instrument is therefore suitable for measuring low transmittance samples, including polarization films used for LCD panels. The Shimadzu UV-2700 is able to perform 8-Abs measurements, and can make accurate transmittance measurements to 1 part in 100 million, accomodating a variety of sample measurements.
Shimadzu UV-2700 with a compact design and less power consumption
The power consumption of the Shimadzu UV-2700 is only 170 VA. The power consumption of conventional models is 190 VA, making the UV-2700 more environmentally friendly.
The UV-2700 has not only been optimized in terms of energy saving. The installation space has been reduced by 28% compared to conventional models, while the sample compartment remains the same. The cooling fan of the UV-2700 is built into the side of the instrument, enabling the users to push the instrument back all the way to the wall. In this way, limited bench space can be used effectively, making the instrument suitable for use in even small laboratories, with limited bench space.
Shimadzu UV-2700 with user friendly software
The Shimadzu UV-2700 can be controlled by using the LabSolutions UV-Vis software. This software aims for high efficiency of analysis, and the simple design allows even first-time users to perform operations easily.
The spectrum evaluation function automates the measurement, analysis, and printing of reports in order to optimize the efficiency of routine analysis. Furthermore, it achieves the easy transfer of measurement data. The user can easily export measurement data in text format and import the data into other software for analysis in Excel.
