Agilent within spectrophotometry

Agilent was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of Hewlett-Packard’s product division “Medical Products and Instruments Group”, which traced its roots back to 1965. With more than 50 years of insight and innovation, Agilent is one of today’s leaders in life sciences, diagnostics, and applied chemical markets.
Agilent offers a comprehensive range of molecular spectroscopy solutions. As the featured spectrophotometers offered by Agilent use a xenon source lamp with an extra-long lifespan of 3 billion flashes, variable costs are kept to a minimum by keeping power consumption low and avoiding expensive lamp replacements.
In 2010, Agilent acquired Varian, and in 2011, Agilent launched the Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer with low cost of ownership, and remote sampling options. Subsequently, Agilent launched the Cary 300 with a working range past 5.0 absorbance units, enabling the user to measure both turbid and solid samples with the instrument.
In 2018 Agilent released the Cary 3500 that enabled users to run up to four different experiments, across eight cuvette positions at the same time.

This instrument uses a highly focused fiber optic probe that increases the ease of use and reduces sample measurement error. The low power requirements mean that at just 38 W, the Agilent Cary 60 can be run from a 12 V mains voltage inverter, making it portable for fieldwork. Other impressive features of the instrument include its fast data collection, low cost of ownership, and the Cary WinUV software.

Agilent Cary 300
The Agilent Cary 300 is a UV-Vis spectrophotometer with a versatile set of accessories and a large photometric range, which makes the instrument well suited for use in research laboratories. Furthermore, the Agilent Cary 300 UV-Vis can be controlled by using the Cary WinUV software. This Windows-based software features a modular design, making the instrument easy-to-use. The Agilent Cary 300 UV-Vis comes with a liquid sample holder, but the instrument is capable of testing both turbid liquid and solid samples.
Agilent Cary 3500
The Agilent Cary 3500 UV-Vis double beam spectrophotometer represents a paradigm shift within the field of UV-Vis Molecular Spectroscopy. The Agilent Cary 3500 UV-Vis is a multiple temperature zoned UV-Vis solution that can run up to four different experiments, across eight cuvette positions at the same time. The implementation of innovative technologies including an air cooling UV-Vis system and a xenon flash lamp, optimizes the performance and cost of ownership of the instrument. The Agilent Cary 3500 UV-Vis will streamline the user’s experimental design.
